L’Editorial Piolet est spécialisée dans les livres sur l’horticulture, les guides et les vélos de montagne. En 1990, il est né à Barcelone en tant qu’expert en cartographie alternative. Il collabore souvent avec des écrivains, des groupes de randonneurs, des municipalités ou des consortiums de promotion touristique. En 2019, il comptait un inventaire éditorial comprenant environ 75 cartes, une vingtaine de guides et une douzaine d’œuvres littéraires, toutes liées à la randonnée ou à la vie en montagne. Il publie également des formats électroniques compatibles avec les systèmes de navigation par satellite (GPS) en plus du format papier traditionnel.
