La Editorial Piolet è specializzata in libri su montagna, guide e biciclette di montagna. Nel 1990 è nato a Barcellona come esperto di cartografia alternativa. Spesso collabora con scrittori, gruppi di escursionisti, comuni o consorzi di promozione turistica. Nel 2019 aveva un inventario editoriale che comprendeva circa 75 mappe, una ventina di guide e una dozzina di opere letterarie, tutte legate alla passeggiata o alla vita in montagna. Pubblica anche formati elettronici compatibili con i sistemi di navigazione satellitare (GPS) oltre al tradizionale formato cartaceo.
